Microsoft Word Continually Opens on Own

The Word Help window is a default feature of the application and this can get opened automatically if there were any changes made in the system or in the application, such as update, install and change settings application.
As an initial recommendation, we suggest that you open Word in safe mode. It starts the application without extensions, reading pane, toolbar customization and etc. This is for us to isolate if the issue causing by add-ins. To do this, you may refer to the steps below:
- Right-click the Start menu and select Run.
- In the Run command, type in winword.exe /safe (including the space between "word" and "/") and then click OK.
- Once the app opens in safe mode, check if the issue persists.
In the event that the application works fine in safe mode, then we can conclude that the issue is caused by add-ins. Then, we suggest that you disable add-ins in the application by following these steps:
- Open Word, click on File and select Options.
- In the left corner, select Add-ins and click the Go button after Manage: COM Add-ins.
- Deselect all add-ins available and click OK.
- Relaunch Word and check if the issue has been resolved.

I opened Word in safe mode, and it worked ok. (I assumed you meant this even though your e-mail's 2nd paragraph said to open Outlook.) Then I opened Word "normally" and it didn't open the help window. So, something appears to have changed that fixed the problem.
